Anand Damodaran is an investment funds partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Anand primarily advises private investment fund sponsors on the formation of credit, private equity and real estate funds. He also advises on the establishment of carried interest and co-investment schemes, secondaries and strategic fund sponsor transactions.
Anand has represented, among others, Chorus Capital, CVC Credit, EQT Credit, Mandala Capital, MV Credit, Natixis, Nordic Capital and StormHarbour.
Anand has been recommended in investment funds by Legal 500 UK and is listed as a ‘Leading Individual’ by Chambers & Partners UK, which says he is “well known for his innovative fund formations, particularly in novel credit fund mandates, and for his regulatory work on AIFMD compliance”. He was also selected by Financial News as one of its ‘40 under 40 Rising Stars in Legal Services’ in 2016 and is currently recognised by Who’s Who Legal - The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers - Private Funds.
