Matthew Fagen is a restructuring partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice involves representing debtors and creditors in out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 11 cases. Matthew has a broad range of restructuring experience across multiple industries including retail, technology, and energy. The 2023 edition of Chambers USA noted, "he is brilliant at understanding the legal issues.” The American Bankruptcy Institute selected Matthew for its 2023 list of “40 Under 40 - Emerging Leaders in Insolvency Practice.” Matthew was also recognized by The Legal 500 United States for Restructuring: Corporate, 2023.
