Matthew Goulding is a corporate partner in the San Francisco office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Matthew’s practice focuses on private equity mergers and acquisition transactions, including leveraged buy-outs of public and private acquisition targets, sale transactions, minority investments and financings. Matthew also represents private equity-owned companies in strategic mergers and acquisition transactions, as well as routine corporate and governance matters. In addition to his M&A experience, Matthew has represented financial sponsors, issuers and investors in a broad range of corporate matters, including restructurings and capital markets transactions.
Apart from his law practice, Matthew serves on the board of directors of the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI), a non-profit organization with offices throughout California. YLI fosters youth engagement in civic action and trains non-traditional young leaders through hands-on advocacy in their communities and schools.
