Prior to joining Kirkland, Jake represented clients on the following matters:
Assisted an emerging private equity sponsor with the structuring and formation of its inaugural fund and related co-investments.
Assisted a global asset manager with the ongoing management and fundraising efforts for its platform of open-end real estate funds.
Assisted a real estate investment management firm with annual fund document updates and fundraising for its open-end multifamily and living sector funds.
Assisted state pension plans with due diligence on potential fund investments and negotiating favorable side letter terms with fund managers.
Assisted various multi-series trusts with the preparation and annual update of mutual fund and ETF prospectuses and statements of additional information, and the preparation of Section 15(c) disclosure materials in connection with the annual renewal of investment advisory contracts.
Assisted a multi-series mutual fund and ETF trust with the preparation of quarterly board meeting minutes, including documenting board deliberations on regulatory compliance, fund governance, and approval of fund contracts.
