Overview

Yong-Nam Jun is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He has a corporate law practice with a particular focus on the representation of sponsors and institutional investors in the formation of private equity and venture capital funds. Yong-Nam is actively involved in all stages of the fund formation process, providing advice on market terms and marketing strategy, negotiating with placement agents, drafting fund and sponsor documents, negotiating with investors and providing advice on internal sponsor and management company arrangements.

Yong-Nam routinely represents leading institutional investors (including sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds, pension plans and private endowments) that invest in venture capital, buyout, hedge and real estate funds.

Yong-Nam also has extensive experience in representing emerging high technology companies and venture funds in equity financing transactions and has structured numerous joint venture arrangements in industries ranging from real estate to internet.
