Overview

Michael Kerr concentrated his practice in mergers and acquisitions, public debt and equity offerings, private financings (including venture capital financings and debt and equity financings of leveraged acquisitions), and general counseling of public and private companies. Transaction size has typically ranged from $100 million to over $1 billion.

He provided general corporate and securities law counseling to a variety of clients relating, among other things, to corporate governance matters, management employment agreements and equity participation arrangements, SEC compliance matters, credit agreement negotiations, agreements with major suppliers and customers, and general public company disclosure issues.

Michael was mentioned in The M & A Journal article, A Six Month Frenzy and also mentioned in the article, Big Suits: Conseco Bankruptcy in The American Lawyer. Michael was also chosen as an "Illinois Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyers magazine from 2005–2006 and 2008–2013.
