Christine Lacku is an employment & labor partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Christine Lacku advises public and private companies on all aspects of labor and employment matters in the context of U.S. and multijurisdictional corporate transactions, including due diligence, drafting of transaction-related documents, risk assessment, and post-acquisition workforce integration and employment counseling. For her private equity clients and their portfolio companies, Christine provides full labor and employment support from acquisition to exit, including buy-side representation, day-to-day employment counseling and sell side representation. Christine has worked on thousands of transactions ranging from minority stake investments to multibillion-dollar carve-outs across dozens of jurisdictions, helping clients navigate the employment aspects of these complex transactions as a trusted and commercial business advisor.

Christine also advises on labor and employment issues in restructuring and bankruptcy matters, for sponsors in connection with GP agreements and partner and employee compensation arrangements and terminations, and for family offices and high-net-worth individuals.

Christine has extensive experience in drafting of employment-related agreements, policies and procedures; employee terminations and reductions in force; WARN; sale of business and employment based restrictive covenants; wage and hour compliance; worker classification issues; harassment and discrimination; union issues; internal investigations; and the resolution of employment-related disputes.
