Overview

Victoria Legg is a corporate partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Victoria has experience in private equity transactions, private mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, acting for private equity sponsors and other financial investors globally. She advises on a broad range of corporate law matters, including domestic and cross-border M&A, disposals, leveraged buyouts and portfolio company management.

Since joining Kirkland, Victoria has worked on the following matters:

  • Advising Bain Capital Tech Opportunities on its majority investment in finova and its simultaneous acquisition of MSO
  • Advising Nordic Capital on a joint venture with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board to invest in Advanz Pharma
  • Advising Nordic Capital on the acquisition of ActiveViam, a data analytics provider
  • Advising AppLearn International on its sale to Permira-backed Nexthink
  • Advising Apax Partners on its simultaneous acquisitions of OCS from Charme Capital Partners and of Finwave from the Lutech Group; both digital partners and software providers in the banking and financial sector
  • Advising Nordic Capital on the sale of Bladt Industries to CS Wind
  • Advising Bain Capital Private Equity on the €3 billion acquisition and financing for Fedrigoni
  • Advising EW Healthcare Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Grundium Oy
  • Advising CPP Investments and Motive Partners on the $1.4 billion investment in FNZ, a global wealth management platform
  • Advising BC Partners on the sale of UK based mental healthcare provider Elysium Healthcare to Ramsay Health Care 
  • Advising Davies Group, a portfolio company of BC Partners, on the acquisition of global consulting firm Sionic Group from Livingbridge and management
  • Advising Fox Corporation on the joint venture with Gordon Ramsay to jointly form new production entity STUDIO RAMSAY GLOBAL 
  • Advising BC Partners on the sale of European pharmaceutical company Pharmathen to Partners Group
  • Advising BC Partners on the acquisition of a significant stake in Valtech, a global digital services and business transformation agency
  • Advising Bain Capital Credit on its acquisition, by way of a joint venture with J.C. Flowers & Co., of a minority stake in The Co-operative Bank, a retail and commercial bank in the U.K.
  • Advising funds advised by Apax on the definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Lutech SpA, a leading Italian IT services, software and technology company 
  • Advising Leif Höegh & Co. Ltd. and funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, through a joint venture vehicle, to acquire the shares in Höegh LNG Holdings Ltd listed on the Oslo Børs
  • Advising Flexpoint Ford LLC on its recommended cash acquisition of AFH Financial Group Plc, a financial planning-led wealth management firm 
  • Advising Bain Capital Credit on the acquisition of a Cypriot Credit Acquiring Company holding a portfolio of non-performing corporate, SME and consumer and mortgage loans from the National Bank of Greece 
  • Advising BC Partners on its acquisition of Keesing, a leading European braintainment business, from Ergon Capital and Mediahuis 
  • Advising CPP Investments and its consortium partners on the acquisition of Galileo Global Education, a private post-secondary education group
  • Advising Hospital Topco, majority owned by Centerbridge Partners and KKR, in connection with the GBP 1.8 billion disposal of BMI Healthcare and the GHG Group to Circle Health and Medical Properties Trust
  • Advising Siris Capital and Mavenir Group, the industry's only end-to-end cloud-native network software provider for CSPs, in connection with Silver Rock’s USD 125 million preferred financing investment in Mavenir Group Holdings Limited
  • Advising BC Partners on its GBP 2 billion investment in Advanced Computer Software, a provider of business software solutions

  • Advising Hitachi on its USD 11 billion acquisition of the power grids division of ABB Group
  • Advising Platinum Equity on its €1.2 billion disposal of Worldwide Flight Services to Cerberus Capital
  • Advising Core Equity on its acquisition of Portman Dental from Livingbridge and management
  • Advising First State Investments and Hermes Infrastructure on its EUR 1.7 billion acquisition of a 65% interest in the Scandlines Group from 3i
  • Advising Apax Partners and its portfolio company Unilabs Diagnostics on their acquisition of the Alpha Medical Group from Mid Europa
  • Advising Macquarie European Investment Fund II on its GBP 1.3 billion sale of a 26% stake in Thames Water to OMERS and KIA
  • Advising L'Oréal on its EUR 1 billion sale of The Body Shop to Natura
  • Advising Bain Capital on its GBP 2.2 billion sale of the Brakes Group to Sysco Corporation
  • Advising the selling shareholders (advised by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (Europe)) on the disposal of a majority interest in Moto, the UK’s largest motoring service area operator, to USS
  • Advising Bain Capital and its portfolio company Brake Bros on the formation of a joint venture between Brakes Bros and the Fresh Direct group
