Overview

Maud Lesaffre is an antitrust and competition partner in the Brussels office of Kirkland & Ellis.

Maud’s practice focuses on EU and international merger control, abuse of dominance cases, behavioral investigations and matters involving horizontal and vertical agreements before the European Commission and national competition authorities.

She has advised clients across a broad range of sectors, with a particular focus on IT and digital platforms, cybersecurity and defense, the pharmaceutical industry, environmental services and utilities and transport and rail. She also advises on the design and implementation of compliance frameworks to meet evolving enforcement and regulatory requirements, particularly in the technology sector. Notably, she has supported clients in understanding and complying with the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
