Overview

Jenny Li is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis’ Shanghai office. Her practice focuses on representing a variety of clients on sensitive enforcement matters that involve areas of anti-corruption, accounting and book-keeping standards, internal financial controls, economic sanctions, conflicts of interests, export controls and data privacy, among others. She has advised clients from a variety of industries including such as healthcare, manufacturing, energy, internet technology, mining, private equity, food and beverage. She advises multinational companies, private equity firms, portfolio companies on responding to government inquires, conducting internal investigations, designing compliance programs, performing compliance due diligence or assessment, and other compliance related matters.

Jenny also has very solid first-hand experience of leading corporate compliance program through serving as the Head of Ethics & Compliance for Asia Pacific and Greater China at a U.S.-based global medical technology corporation for over 5 years. She understands the pressure faced by companies and has the ability to help clients to navigate complex enforcement actions and design practical compliance solutions.

Jenny has also worked on complex cross-border litigations and arbitrations. She has represented several large companies in connection with significant civil disputes arising in the course of their business activities around the world.
