Overview

Dan Mach is a litigation partner in Kirkland’s New York office. Dan has defended clients at trial in high-stakes product-liability, toxic-tort and environmental matters in jurisdictions across the country, including for claims involving glyphosate, PCBs, PFAS and other chemical products. Clients appreciate Dan’s rigorous mastery of complex scientific, technical and legal issues in presenting the best case for victory at trial or, if necessary, on appeal.

Dan’s commercial litigation practice includes serving as lead trial counsel in AAA commercial arbitrations involving high-dollar contractual disputes for both healthcare and energy-sector clients. He has managed and contributed to against-the-odds favorable outcomes in commercial cases arising in a various industries, including intellectual property licensing and royalty disputes for pharmaceutical and technological innovators.  

In addition, Dan has litigated complex class action issues in cases involving consumer, employment and antitrust claims. His class action experience reflects work on “both sides of the ‘v’” and at every stage of the certification process — from obtaining class certification for plaintiffs to opposing certification for defendants and to successfully obtaining class de-certification — as well as taking and opposing Rule 23(f) appeals.
