Overview

Malu Malhotra is an associate in the Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations Practice Group in the New York Office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.  Malu advises companies and their officers and directors on a wide variety of U.S. DOJ and SEC investigations, internal investigations and compliance matters. Additionally, Malu advises clients on workplace misconduct issues.

Malu is also committed to pro bono work, having assisted several clients in criminal justice matters.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Malu’s select representative matters included:

  • Represented an investment bank in connection with a DOJ inquiry concerning alleged fraudulent actions.
  • Represented a securities company in connection with a SEC investigation.
  • Represented a technology company in connection with an investigation by an international regulatory body concerning alleged money laundering and corruption.
  • Represented a healthcare company in connection with a DOJ inquiry concerning healthcare fraud.
  • Represented several individuals in connection with investigations concerning money laundering.
