Courtney May

Courtney May is a corporate associate in the Investment Funds Group in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Courtney's practice focuses on advising investment fund sponsors on a broad variety of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. She has experience supporting a wide range of fund sponsors with many aspects of their business, including:

• Investment adviser registration, including corresponding compliance infrastructure;
• Establishment of private investment vehicles, including compliance with offering requirements and appropriate exemptions under federal securities laws;
• Structuring transactions, including management of material non-public information; and
• Navigating and preparing for government interactions, including SEC examination and enforcement matters.
