Overview

Vilian Mladenov is a regulatory associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.

Vilian has experience advising alternative investment funds, fund managers and financial institutions across a variety of regulatory matters focusing on EU and UK financial regulation including AIFMD, MiFID II, PRIIPS, MAR, UK FSMA, as well as other securities and financial services legislation.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Vilian worked in the Enforcement & Sanctions Division of the European Central Bank where he was involved in investigations of banks that had violated prudential regulation requirements imposed under the CRR and the CRD. Vilian’s work focused on assessing breaches committed in the areas of capital requirements, internal governance and risk management, cyber risk, supervisory reporting, large exposures and variable remuneration.
