Overview

Anthony Mongone is a real estate partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Anthony has earned the trust of some of the world’s largest commercial real estate investors, mortgage REITs and private debt funds to guide them through an incredibly diverse range of complex, large-scale real estate transactions. 

Leveraging extensive experience representing both lenders and sponsors, Anthony’s practice focuses on bespoke commercial real estate finance arrangements and credit investing, such as “lender finance” (including repurchase facilities, note-on-note financings and other financing arrangements), syndication strategies (including mezzanine financings, participations and A/B note transactions), loan pool acquisitions/“forward flow” arrangements, distressed investing/workouts and originations (including mortgage loans, preferred equity and NAV facilities). 

Anthony also represents sponsors in acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures regarding real estate assets, with particular experience in development and emerging real asset transactions, including in the digital infrastructure, single-family/residential transitional and cold storage/logistics sectors.

Anthony has been recognized by Law360 as a “Rising Star” in the Real Estate category and has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch and The Legal 500 United States. Anthony has also been quoted in numerous publications on real estate finance topics and has been featured on panels regarding mortgage and distressed investing.
