David Nemecek is a corporate partner resident in the Los Angeles office and the New York office. Dave's practice focuses on representing private equity sponsors, hedge funds, asset managers and alternative capital sources in complex financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, liability management transactions, recapitalizations, restructurings and other special situation transactions.
Chambers USA has recommended Dave as a leading lawyer in banking and finance since 2014. In the 2018 edition of Chambers, Dave was called “a leading trailblazer in the terms folks are able to get” and a client noted that Dave is “so active, so he knows what’s going on the market”. Dave has significant experience with a wide variety of transaction structures, including:
senior secured and senior unsecured financings;
debtor-in-possession and exit financings;
split collateral structures;
first lien-second lien financings;
mezzanine financings; and
Dave has negotiated and closed transactions in a diverse group of industries, including media, retail, restaurant, energy, healthcare, software and biotechnology. Dave counsels clients in deals of varying sizes − from billion dollar transactions to middle market and lower middle market transactions.
