Overview

Andrew Nichol is a partner in the Investment Funds Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and a member of Kirkland's Strategic GP Solutions Practice. Andrew advises on a broad range of strategic matters, including asset manager minority and control transactions, revenue sharing arrangements and bespoke seeding structures as well as other strategic matters relating to the structuring of asset management businesses, product expansions and dispositions, and upper-tier disputes and departures.

In his fund formation practice, Andrew has advised a broad range of emerging and established managers on the launch of new fund strategies, including corporate sponsored funds, semi-permanent capital structures, trigger funds, co-investment funds and associated regulatory and compliance matters. He also advises managers in connection with the structuring and implementation of internal firm restructurings and succession planning matters.
