Shawn OHargan, P.C.
Overview
Shawn is a corporate partner in Kirkland's New York office. His practice is primarily focused on representing private equity funds, private companies and public companies in a wide variety of complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, leveraged buyouts and in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Shawn also advises private equity funds in growth capital investments and in the management of their portfolio companies, including structured and common equity financings, follow-on acquisitions and liquidity events. Shawn has experience counseling clients in a wide variety of industries, including life sciences and pharmaceuticals, aerospace and defense, consumer products, specialty chemicals, manufacturing, logistics/transportation, business services, media and retail.
In 2021 and 2022, Shawn was recognized by IFLR1000 as a “Notable Practitioner” for his corporate/M&A and private equity work. He was also recognized from 2014-2017 as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers magazine for his corporate practice.
