Billy Phalen is an associate in the Boston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Billy advises clients on international trade and complex cross-border transactions, including reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), economic sanctions, export controls (ITAR/EAR), antiboycott regulations, anti-corruption (FCPA), equity investments, sales, and general corporate matters relating to portfolio companies. Billy has handled such matters on behalf of, among others, SoftBank, GI Partners, Water Street Healthcare Partners, Thoma Bravo, Arsenal Capital Partners, Nordic Capital and ABRY Partners, as well as several of their portfolio companies.
