Abbey Quigley is a partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Abbey’s practice focuses on litigation and counseling in the fields of copyright, trademark, internet/social media, art, right of publicity and advertising law. Abbey represents clients across various industries, including technology and AI, social media, entertainment, fashion, retail and consumer goods. She has achieved numerous favorable outcomes for clients in high-profile cases at all stages of litigation and has had stand up roles in a variety of venues, including arguing dispositive motions and examining witnesses, in state and federal court and in arbitration hearings. Abbey also frequently advises clients on pre-litigation issues, branding matters, new product launches and IP issues related to AI.
Abbey is an Adjunct Professor of Law, having taught copyright law at New York Law School, and serves on the Associate Board for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Abbey has a strong commitment to pro bono and has advised dozens of New York City artists on arts-related legal issues. Prior to joining Kirkland, Abbey also completed a pro bono secondment at Mobilization for Justice, where she managed a docket of more than 40 full representation cases, first chaired a traverse hearing and handled dozens of court conferences and arguments.
