Overview

Jake Rambeau is an intellectual property litigation partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Jake’s practice focuses on high-tech IP and commercial litigation in forums across the country, including federal district court, the International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the Federal Circuit. His practice focuses on patent infringement, trade-secret misappropriation and contract disputes involving a range of technologies, including electronics, semiconductors, wireless technologies and protocols, software, medical devices and implants, mechanical and industrial equipment, and automotive technology.

Jake has achieved numerous favorable outcomes for clients at all phases of litigation, including multiple trial victories, successful dispositive motions (including at the pleading stage), and successful petitions for inter partes review at the Patent Office. He has experience with all aspects of litigation, including examining witnesses at trial, arguing motions in court, deposing and defending fact and expert witnesses, and drafting various briefs and motions. Jake also has experience assisting clients in drafting and negotiating settlement and licensing agreements.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jake worked as an electrical engineer in the automotive industry.
