Former Solicitor General of Tennessee, Matt has led litigation teams in high-profile matters across federal and state courts, including a landmark case at the U.S. Supreme Court implicating states’ constitutional authority. Matt clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas on the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge Sandra Ikuta on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He earned his law degree from Berkeley Law, where he graduated first in his class. Before his legal career, Matt played professional baseball in the Tampa Bay Rays organization.
