Alex Schwartz is a corporate partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Alex represents issuers and sponsors in connection with initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings and high yield offerings as well as general corporate and securities law counseling including corporate governance, disclosure issues, periodic reporting, Section 16 reporting and stock exchange listing requirements. Additionally, Alex has experience representing private equity sponsors and other companies in SPAC transactions, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations and restructurings. Alex has handled such matters on behalf of, among others, Ares Management, Bain Capital, Centerview Capital, GTCR, Hilco Global, Madison Dearborn Partners, Oaktree Capital, Summit Partners, Thomas H. Lee Partners, Vestar Capital Partners and Vista Equity Partners, as well as certain of their portfolio companies.
