Overview

Dayron Silverio is a trial partner in Kirkland’s Miami office. He has tried nearly two dozen cases in state and federal court as both plaintiff and defense counsel. His practice spans a broad range of complex commercial litigation, including fraud, tort, statutory consumer protection claims, and trade secrets and intellectual property disputes.

Before joining Kirkland, Dayron served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, where he investigated and prosecuted hundreds of federal offenses and regularly appeared before judges in the district. He led multidisciplinary investigative teams comprising federal and state law enforcement agencies. In recognition of his exceptional performance, he was awarded the Office’s 2020 Karen Cross & Beranton Whisenant Award, presented annually to a single prosecutor for outstanding achievement.

Dayron maintains an active appellate practice. He has successfully briefed criminal and civil appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, which has appointed him to serve as court-appointed counsel in a criminal matter. By appointment, Dayron also serves on the Professionalism Committee of the state trial court in Miami-Dade County.

Earlier in his career, Dayron clerked for the Honorable Mark E. Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and for the Honorable Adalberto J. Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
