Overview

Marissa Smith is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in the Miami office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, internal and government investigations, and enforcement actions involving clients in the financial services, healthcare and technology industries.

Marissa has experience managing all phases of litigation and investigations, including conducting witness interviews, drafting dispositive motions, coordinating expert analyses and preparing for trial. She has represented clients in antitrust, civil rights and False Claims Act matters, and she maintains an active pro bono practice focused on criminal defense and constitutional rights litigation.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Marissa practiced at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP.
