James W. Sprague
Overview
James Sprague is an executive compensation associate in Kirkland’s Chicago office. He advises public and private companies, private equity funds and their portfolio companies, and corporate boards and compensation committees in connection with public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, IPOs and other corporate transactions.
James routinely advises clients on the structuring, negotiation, and implementation of employment, severance, change in control, retention, deferred compensation, and equity-based incentive compensation arrangements, as well as the securities, accounting, tax, and governance matters related to such arrangements.
