Ari Stavsky is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He represents private equity funds, REITs and other institutional investors and operators in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, recapitalizations and other equity capital arrangements across a wide variety of asset classes. He also advises borrowers and lenders in all types of commercial real estate financing transactions including mortgage an and mezzanine financings, preferred equity investments, permanent and bridge loan originations, construction loans, syndications, participations and other co-lender arrangements, loan sales, workouts and restructurings.
Before joining Kirkland, Ari served as senior counsel for the real estate business of a leading global investment firm. Collaborating closely with senior leadership and investment professionals, he developed a unique understanding of business strategy and the critical balance between managing legal risk and facilitating commercial objectives.
