JOANN is a leading national retailer in sewing, fabrics, and arts and crafts headquartered in Hudson, Ohio with approximately 800 stores across the United States. Prior to commencing its Chapter 11 cases, JOANN had approximately $615.7 million in funded debt, across a term loan and asset-based lending facility. JOANN commenced its Chapter 11 cases with the goal of facilitating a marketing and sale process for its assets to maximize value and creditor recoveries.
Pluralsight, LLC — Representation of Pluralsight, LLC and its affiliates (“Pluralsight”), a leading technology workforce development company, in a comprehensive transaction that included a recapitalization and exchange of existing secured debt. The transaction, which was supported by all of Pluralsight’s existing lenders and its sponsor, significantly reduced funded debt by approximately $1.2 billion, strengthened Pluralsight’s balance sheet, and infused more than $200 million of new capital into the business to support long-term strategic goals and accelerate growth initiatives.
SunPower Corporation — Representation of SunPower Corporation and certain of its subsidiaries (“SunPower”) in their Chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. SunPower is a leading provider of residential solar energy solutions throughout North America, having fitted over half a million homes with its solar energy systems. At the time of the Chapter 11 filing, the SunPower enterprise had over $2 billion of total indebtedness. Prior to filing its Chapter 11 cases, SunPower entered into a stalking horse purchase agreement that contemplates a going-concern sale of its key businesses.
Express, Inc. — Representation of Express, Inc. and certain of its affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Express is a forty-year old iconic fashion brand headquartered in Columbus, Ohio with 600 stores across the United States and partnerships spanning the globe. In addition to the Express brand, the Bonobos and UpWest retail banners are included in the Chapter 11 cases. Express is a publicly traded company with over $1 billion of liabilities as of the petition date.
Envision Healthcare Corp. — Representation of Envision Healthcare Corp. and 216 of its affiliates in the commencement of pre-arranged Chapter 11 cases. Envision is a leading national medical group that employs or partners with more than 21,000 clinicians and provides care to patients across the U.S., with nearly 30 million patient visits each year. The debtors confirmed two Chapter 11 plans of reorganization (on account of its two credit silos) that resulted in a deleveraging of more than $7 billion, more than $2 billion in exit financing, and laid the groundwork for the operational separation of the debtors’ physician services and ambulatory surgery center business lines, all on a substantially consensual basis.
