Sarena M.K. Straughter

Sarena M.K. Straughter is a corporate associate in the Bay Area office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on transactional matters within the Firm’s corporate group. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in Political Science from Howard University.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Sarena served as a judicial intern to the Honorable John P. Howard III of the D.C. Court of Appeals and the Honorable M. Tia Johnson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. She also gained venture-capital experience through the Black Venture Capital Consortium and Precursor Ventures.
