Shannon Thompson

Shannon Thompson is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, based in the Dallas office. Her practice focuses on representing private equity and other alternative asset managers in fundraising, governance, organizational structure, internal operations, regulatory and compliance and related matters. Shannon’s experience includes advising clients on fund formation, capital raising and operation of private investment funds and their management companies, marketing and placement agent arrangements, investment and trading issues, co-investment vehicles, fund restructurings, regulatory and compliance and carried interest arrangements. She also works on transactions among asset managers, including spin outs, seed investments and joint ventures.
