Overview

Trey VanWieren is a real estate associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Trey represents both borrowers and lenders in the origination, restructuring, acquisition and disposition of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans secured by various property types across the United States, including hotel, retail, office and multifamily.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Trey was involved in the following representative matters:

  • Represented major private equity firm in the origination, restructuring and disposition of over $1 billion in mortgage and mezzanine financings across the United States secured by office, hotel, industrial, condominium and multifamily properties.
  • Represented real estate investment trust in the origination and restructuring of over $1 billion in mortgage and mezzanine financings across the United States secured by multifamily, office and hotel properties.
  • Represented real estate investment firm in the origination and acquisition of over $500 million in mortgage and mezzanine financings across the United States secured by hotel and multifamily properties.
  • Represented real estate developer in the acquisition, financing and restructuring of various properties in New York, Massachusetts and California, totaling over $1 billion.
  • Represented real estate investment firm in the origination of over $250 million in mortgage financings of undeveloped and underdeveloped properties in Florida, Oregon and South Carolina.
