Award IP Law & Business

Who Protects Innovation in America

Kirkland's Intellectual Property Practice Group has been highly ranked since IP Law & Business began its annual survey of U.S. law firms 1999, and 2007 is no exception. Kirkland ranked third in "IP Litigation" and tied for fourth place in the overall category, "Firms with the Most Mentions."

In its November 2007 edition, IP Law & Business gave its annual survey an overhaul, complete with a new name and methodology. The revamped survey, "Who Protects Innovation in America 2007," ranks law firms used by companies named in "The World's 50 Most Innovative Companies," a list compiled by BusinessWeek and the Boston Consulting Group. The previous version of the magazine's survey, "Who Protects IP America," focused solely on law firms representing Fortune 250 firms based in the United States.

The companies who cited Kirkland as their IP counsel include:

3M
DaimlerChrysler
Motorola
Research In Motion
Toyota Motor Sales
