Patent Litigation Survey: Never a Dull Moment
In the eighth annual survey of patent litigation, Kirkland ranked second for the most defense cases filed in 2007 and third for total district court cases filed in 2007. Kirkland defended 49 cases and filed a total of 63 cases.
The Firm also ranked ninth for total appeals cases filed in the Federal Circuit, with three appellee cases and three appellant cases.
The survey includes patent lawsuits that were filed in federal district courts, as well as appeals at the Federal Circuit, in 2007. The district court cases had to be active for at least two months during the year.
