Benchmark Litigation U.S. Awards 2019

Benchmark Litigation recognized Kirkland & Ellis as “Illinois Firm of the Year” and “Bankruptcy Firm of the Year” at the seventh annual Benchmark Litigation U.S. Awards. Additionally, partner Jim Hurst was recognized as “Trial Lawyer of the Year,” and Benchmark Litigation awarded a “National Impact Case of the Year” award to Flexus Biosciences v. Incyte. In that case, Kirkland represented Flexus, a Bristol-Myers Squibb subsidiary. Serving as lead counsel for Kirkland on the case were Hurst, Diana Watral and Patricia Carson.

The awards recognize firms that display the ability to consistently handle complex, high-stakes cases in multiple jurisdictions, and are consistently recommended within the business and legal communities for the quality of their litigation professionals and trial work.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Kirkland has been named “Illinois Firm of the Year.” Kirkland has been named “Bankruptcy Firm of the Year” four of the last five years.
