Four Kirkland Litigators Named to Bloomberg Law’s “Unrivaled” List
Bloomberg Law recognized Kirkland partners Daniel Donovan, Morton Dubin, Adam Alper and Michael De Vries in its debut “Unrivaled” list, which spotlights the trial lawyers leading the industry’s most significant and impactful trials and settlements.
Morton was recognized for his work successfully defending Johnson & Johnson in a product liability case related to its baby powder. He is known for developing innovative and successful trial defenses for clients in high-stakes product liability matters, having tried and won cases across the most difficult jurisdictions in the U.S.
Dan’s complete jury verdict for Gulfport Energy in a mineral trespass and conversion case earned him a spot on the list. His practice focuses on energy, financial, technology and transportation disputes across the U.S., having secured victories for plaintiffs and defendants in critical matters before trial and appellate courts, juries, and arbitration panels.
Adam and Mike were profiled together for their win for Samsung and its manufacturer, Applied Materials, avoiding what could’ve been the largest damages award in a patent case in U.S. history. Both Adam and Mike regularly litigate high-stakes competitor cases involving concurrent claims of patent, trade secret and copyright violations, often involving co-pending actions in U.S. District Courts, and before the USPTO PTAB and USITC, which are frequently litigated through the trial and post-trial phases.
