Kirkland Earns Four Awards From GP Stakes News

Kirkland received “Law Firm of the Year (Sell-Side)” and “Law Firm of the Year (Buy-Side)” honors at the 2025 GP Stakes News Awards. Additionally, partner Peter Vaglio was named “Lawyer of the Year,” and partner Rami Totari was named “Next-Gen Lawyer of the Year.”

Peter, a partner in Kirkland’s corporate and transactional practice, has been one of the leading innovators and strategic advisors in the asset management transaction industry over the last decade. A former investment team managing director within Blackstone’s “GP Stake” business, Pete divides his practices between the sell-side and buy-side, representing clients ranging from the largest public alternative asset management firms to first-time fund managers in asset management transactions.

Rami, a partner in Kirkland’s Dallas office, regularly represents public companies and private equity sponsors in strategic and financial transactions, including M&A and dispositions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. In addition, Rami has extensive experience in asset manager minority and control transactions, seeding arrangements, and other upper-tier liquidity events.
