Litigator of the Week: Runners-Up and Shout Outs

The American Lawyer's "Litigator of the Week" column gave Kirkland a shout out for a victory for Micro Focus International in a securities lawsuit.

"A Kirkland & Ellis team including partners Matthew Solum and Stephen Potenza and associates Joseph Sanderson and Farryal Siddiqui knocked out a securities suit against Micro Focus International PLC tied to the significant drop in its American Depositary Shares price following its $8.8 billion merger with the software business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2016. U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter Jr. found on September 29 that none of the dozens of statements that plaintiffs put forward from the registration statement or other public pronouncements about the deal were materially misleading."
