Kirkland & Ellis LLP Ranked a Top-Tier Firm by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers

Kirkland & Ellis LLP ranked as a first-tier law firm in nine practice areas nationwide in the first Best Law Firms report released by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers. The rankings are available at www.usnews.com.com/bestlawfirms and will also appear in the October print issue of U.S. News & World Report.

Kirkland ranked in the first tier for national practices in the areas of Antitrust Law, Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Corporate Law, General Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Law, Mergers & Acquisitions Law, Private Equity Law, Securities/Capital Markets Law and Tax Law.

To compile this guide, a total of 9,514 clients — including every Fortune 100 company and 587 of the Fortune 1000 companies — provided 194,370 firm practice-area evaluations; 6,190 clients provided 11,181 comments about law firm practice areas and individual attorneys; and 8,842 lawyers provided 594,012 firm practice-area evaluations. U.S. News and Best Lawyers combined those survey responses with more than 3.1 million evaluations of individual lawyers in these firms in the most recent Best Lawyers survey. Law firms were divided into tiers both nationally and by metropolitan areas or state. Achieving a high ranking is a special distinction that signals a unique combination of excellence and breadth of experience.
