Kirkland & Ellis Advised H.I.G. European Capital Partners, LLP on the Acquisition of Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland GmbH

Kirkland & Ellis International LLP advised H.I.G. European Capital Partners, LLP, the adviser of H.I.G. Europe Capital Partners, L.P., on the acquisition of a participation in Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland GmbH from Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts (KKR). Further participations have been acquired by private investors as well as the management team of Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland GmbH as co-investors. The value of the transaction is confidential. Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland GmbH, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, was founded in 1990 as the first dual system and is a leading provider of recycling systems. Kirkland advises H.I.G. Europe Capital Partners, L.P. on an ongoing basis. The team included corporate partners Erik Dahl, Dr. Jörn Schnigula and Dr. Jan Schinköth, finance partner Wolfgang Nardi, tax partner Dr. Roderic Pagel, corporate associates Dr. Daniel Wied and Dr. Kai Terstiege, and finance associate Christine Kaniak.
