Kirkland & Ellis Represents Cinven and GS Capital Partners on Disposal of Ahlsell for SEK 15.5 Billion (€1.8 Billion)

Kirkland & Ellis International LLP represented Cinven and GS Capital Partners (GSCP) on the disposal of Ahlsell, the leading distributor of construction products in the Nordic region, to CVC Capital Partners for SEK 15.5 billion (€1.8 billion). Completion is subject to relevant merger control clearances.

The Kirkland team was led by London private equity partners Gavin Gordon and David Arnold, and included private equity associates Fatema Orjela and Natalia Prochnicka, debt finance partner Stephen Gillespie and associate Sam Norris, capital markets partner Ward McKimm and antitrust partner Shaun Goodman.

Earlier this month, Kirkland advised the Numericable Group, a portfolio company of Cinven, Altice and The Carlyle Group, on its €360.2 million high-yield offering.
