Kirkland Counsels Luminate Capital Partners on Inaugural Fund with Over $265 Million in Commitments

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Luminate Capital Partners, founded by former Silver Lake Managing Director Hollie Haynes, on its inaugural fund, Luminate Capital Partners, LP,  which closed with more than $265 million in capital commitments. Luminate, which invests in enterprise software companies, exceeded its initial $200 million target. The fund’s limited partners include pension plans, endowments, fund of funds and family offices. The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Nicholas DiCrescenzo and Bruce Ettelson and associate Kevin Wessel; and included investment management partner Corey Zarse; and tax partner Daniel Meehan.

In the past three years alone, Kirkland has advised nearly 300 private investment fund sponsors, raising more than 400 funds representing in excess of $315 billion of capital commitments.
