Kirkland & Ellis advised funds managed by Gamut Capital Management in their acquisition of Grede, a leading developer, manufacturer assembler and supplier of ductile, gray, and specialty iron castings and machined components for automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial markets, from American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAM). The acquisition was announced on September 18, 2019 and closed on December 16, 2019.
