Kirkland Represents Bluescape in Investor Consortium for $1.4 Billion CenterPoint Investment

Kirkland & Ellis represented Bluescape Energy Partners, as part of a consortium of investors, in the consortium’s $1.4 billion preferred and common equity investment in CenterPoint Energy Inc. As part of the deal, CenterPoint will install two new directors and establish a board subcommittee to consider value-maximizing strategic business actions.
