Kirkland Advises Silversmith Capital Partners in $49 Million Investment in Appfire
Kirkland & Ellis represented Silversmith Capital Partners, a Boston-based growth equity firm, on its $49 million strategic investment in Appfire, a leading provider of apps for software development teams. The investment marks the first time Appfire has raised outside capital, which will be used to expand the company’s cloud-based product offerings and support strategic acquisitions of complementary apps. As part of the transaction, Silversmith general partner Sri Rao and vice president Lyndsay Kerwin have joined Appfire’s Board.
