Corporate Partner Michael Marek Joins Kirkland & Ellis
Kirkland & Ellis announced today that Michael Marek has joined the Firm as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group.

Mr. Marek advises private equity firms, other financial sponsors, portfolio companies, and various public and private businesses in connection with a wide range of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts and joint ventures. His practice spans industries, with a particular focus on the energy, services and infrastructure sectors, including traditional hydrocarbon and energy transition segments.
Mr. Marek holds a law degree and MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. He joins Kirkland from Vinson & Elkins LLP, where he was a partner.
