Kirkland Assists CATL on its HK$39 Billion H-Share Placing

Kirkland & Ellis represented the placing agents, including BofA Securities, CICC, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley (in alphabetical order), in connection with the H-share placing (the H-Share Placing) of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL, SZ:300750, HKEX:3750). The H-Share Placing was announced on April 28, 2026 and completed on 30 April, 2026.

The net proceeds from the H-Share Placing (after deducting all fees, costs and expenses incurred by CATL) amounted to approximately HKD 39.12 billion (USD 5 billion), which will be used to accelerate the implementation of the global zerocarbon strategy and support long-term sustainable development.
