Kirkland Advises RWE on Investment in Focused Energy

Kirkland & Ellis advised RWE on its investment in Focused Energy in connection with Focused Energy’s Series A financing round.

Focused Energy is a leader in laser-based fusion technology and participates in international research and aims to develop high-energy lasers for potential use in laser fusion power plants. As part of its investment, RWE will grant Focused Energy access to its Biblis site for the construction of a pilot plant for laser-based fusion technology.
