Kirkland Represents Ares on Acquisition of Four-Community Student Housing Portfolio From SCHENK+

Kirkland & Ellis advised Ares Management in a transaction whereby Ares Real Estate funds, in partnership with The Scion Group, the world’s largest owner of off-campus student housing, have acquired a four-community, 2,316-bed student housing portfolio from SCHENK+. The four-community portfolio serves students at the University of Georgia, the University of Tennessee and Texas State University. The portfolio was acquired for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $435 million.
