Kirkland Represents Grubhub on Acquisition of Yelp’s Eat24 Business for $287.5 Million

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Grubhub Inc. (NYSE: GRUB), the nation's leading online and mobile food ordering company, on its agreement to acquire Yelp Inc.’s (NYSE: YELP) online food-ordering business, Eat24, for $287.5 million. The acquisition is part of a long-term partnership between Grubhub and Yelp designed to capitalize on each company’s unique assets and propel online takeout and delivery. Together, Grubhub and Eat24 will create the largest network of restaurants offering online and mobile food ordering in the United States. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
