The third edition of the Global Counsel Restructuring and Insolvency Handbook provides a user-friendly insight into the current rules and proposals for reform in the field of restructuring and insolvency in 16 jurisdictions around the world. The handbook also indentifies recommended law firms and lawyers in various geographical areas with a rating of "Leading," "Highly Recommended," or "Recommended." 

Kirkland & Ellis was "highly recommended" among law firms in the United States. The Firm was also mentioned as one of two "leading" firms in Chicago, and was "recommended" in London, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

Chicago partner James H.M. Sprayregen was named one of two "leading" lawyers in Chicago, while London partner Lyndon Norley and Los Angeles partner Richard Wynne were both "recommended" among bankruptcy attorneys in their respective locations.
